Radio Kiskeya was inaugurated on May 7, 1994, during a tumultuous coup period, marking a bold step in media development. The path since then has been fraught with challenges, and continues to be so today.

Despite these obstacles, Radio Kiskeya has successfully launched the Kiskeya app, which provides users with access to live streaming, on-demand podcasts, and listening options through ZenoRadio, accessible from anywhere in the world. The app features popular programs such as ‘Internet Public’, ‘Déclic avec Gotson Pierre’, ‘MédiaSport’, and ‘Dim Ma Diw avec Marvel Dandin’.

It is important to highlight that Radio Kiskeya has established itself on the media landscape through steadfast determination and commitment to its mission, rather than relying on external support.

There is a profound belief within the organization that Haiti requires a free and robust press, which garners public trust. A well-organized, cohesive, and professional media framework is essential for positively shaping public opinion. Such a press is crucial for helping Haiti navigate away from the entrenched paths of illegality and toward a more accountable system that combats impunity.

Furthermore, this envisioned press must strive to move away from ad hoc approaches and amateurism in managing public affairs. The media we advocate for must play a pivotal role in fostering a new culture of openness towards modern ideas and realities, particularly in embracing the remarkable information and communication technologies of the 21st century.
